CCT Responds to Transparency in Government Act and Cameras in the Courtroom Act of 2015

In response to the introduction of the Transparency in Government Act in the House of Representatives and the Cameras in the Courtroom Act of 2015 in the Senate, the Coalition for Court Transparency released the following statement:

For too long, the American people have been denied access to the U.S. Supreme Court. The Coalition for Court Transparency has repeatedly called for increased accessibility and accountability from our nation’s highest court, including audio/visual broadcasts of court proceedings. The CCT applauds Sen. Dick Durbin (Ill.), Sen. Chuck Grassley (Iowa), Rep. Mike Quigley (Ill.), Rep. Jackie Speier (Calif.) and Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (Ariz.) for their continued dedication to increased transparency in the federal judiciary.
